Choosing the right shipping boxes and packaging helps protect goods during transport, simplifies order packing and allows packaging materials to be used more efficiently. When selecting packaging, consider the product’s dimensions, weight, fragility and delivery method.
SUPERBOX offers a wide range of cardboard shipping boxes, transport boxes, cardboard mailing envelopes and other shipping packaging. The range caters to e-commerce, storage and everyday shipping needs.
Types of shipping boxes and packaging
Different products require different packaging solutions. The SUPERBOX range includes packaging in various sizes and constructions for both individual shipments and higher-volume order packing.
Quick-closing boxes
Quick-closing boxes are easy to assemble and close, helping simplify everyday order preparation. They are a practical choice for online stores, warehouses and businesses that pack goods frequently. The need for additional packing tape depends on the selected box construction and shipping requirements.
Multi-depth boxes
Depending on their construction, multi-depth boxes can accommodate products of different heights by folding the cardboard along predefined score (fold) lines or adapting the packaging in another way. This reduces empty space above the product and may reduce the need for void fill.
These boxes are particularly convenient when shipping products of different heights while aiming to stock fewer packaging sizes. The selected box length and width must accommodate the product together with the necessary protective materials.
E-commerce boxes with self-adhesive sealing and tear-open strips
An integrated self-adhesive sealing strip allows the box to be sealed without additional packing tape, while a tear-open strip helps the recipient open the packaging without scissors or a knife.
Some models have a second adhesive sealing strip for resealing the box when returning an item. Check the individual model description for this feature.
Standard transport boxes
The range mainly includes FEFCO 0201 corrugated cardboard boxes with four top flaps and four bottom flaps. These boxes are usually sealed with packing tape and are suitable for packing, storing and transporting goods. Other box constructions are also available.
Choose a suitable box according to its dimensions, cardboard properties and the weight of the product being packed. The construction code alone does not define the box’s strength or suitability for a particular load.
Boxes for parcel lockers
Boxes for parcel lockers are designed for shipping goods via parcel locker services. The SUPERBOX range includes cardboard boxes in various sizes for packing clothing, cosmetics, accessories, books and other products.
When choosing packaging, compare the external dimensions of the fully packed parcel with the compartment size limits set by the selected carrier. Also consider the maximum permitted parcel weight and any additional protection the product requires.
Cardboard mailing envelopes
Cardboard mailing envelopes are suitable for sending documents, books, catalogues, printed materials and other flat products. A correctly selected envelope helps protect the contents from bending and other damage that may occur during transport.
They are a compact packaging solution for products that do not require a conventional cardboard box. Depending on the model, the envelope construction can be adapted to the thickness of the item.
How to choose the right shipping box?
When choosing a shipping box, consider not only its dimensions but also the properties of the product being packed and the transport conditions.
- Internal box dimensions. Choose a box that accommodates the product together with the necessary protective materials without leaving excessive empty space.
- Cardboard strength. Consider the product’s weight, the box size and the transport conditions. The range includes single-wall and double-wall corrugated cardboard boxes. Select a suitable option according to the individual model’s specifications.
- Box construction. Quick-closing boxes are convenient for frequent packing, multi-depth models allow the packaging height to be adjusted, and standard transport boxes suit a variety of storage and shipping needs.
- Delivery method. When shipping via parcel lockers, check the external dimensions and weight of the fully packed parcel. Identical S, M or L labels do not necessarily indicate identical compartment dimensions across different carriers.
- Product protection. For fragile products, use protective materials that help restrict movement inside the box and protect against impacts. Thicker cardboard alone does not replace suitable internal packaging.
Before placing a larger order, it is worth testing a packaging sample with your product and the protective materials you plan to use. This allows you to assess the size, assembly and closure.
Custom cardboard box production and printing
If packaging from the standard range does not meet your needs, custom-made cardboard boxes can be ordered. Depending on the construction and production technology, custom production is available from 50 units. Box dimensions and construction are agreed according to the product’s properties and packaging requirements.
Custom-made e-commerce boxes with integrated strips are generally ordered in larger quantities. Depending on the dimensions, construction and production method, the indicative minimum order quantity is 2,000–4,000 units.
Shipping boxes can also be personalised with a company logo, brand graphics or other design elements. Printing on standard boxes typically starts at 50 units, although the exact quantity depends on the model and printing method.
The lead time for printing on standard boxes is usually around 1–3 weeks, while custom-made e-commerce boxes take approximately 4–6 weeks. Production lead times for other custom packaging are agreed for each order. Final quantities, pricing and lead times are confirmed in the quotation.

Responsible packing
Correctly sized cardboard boxes help reduce excessive empty space and the need for void fill. Multi-depth models allow the packaging height to be matched more closely to the product being shipped. At the same time, it is important to leave enough room for essential protective materials.
Corrugated cardboard packaging can generally be recycled if it is not heavily contaminated and does not contain materials that hinder recycling. After use, empty the packaging and sort it according to local waste management guidelines.
Use the SUPERBOX advanced search to filter packaging by dimensions, construction and other criteria, and find suitable shipping boxes and packaging for your products.
